We are looking for a creative and user-focused Interaction Designer to join our data migration project. The goal is to provide intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for end users managing the transition of data from Legacy databases to the AWS cloud. The successful candidate will design interactions that simplify data migration tasks and provide an excellent user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interface Design:
   • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for the tools and dashboards involved in the data migration project.
   • Design intuitive user and data flows and interactions that simplify complex data migration processes.
2. User Research and Testing:
   • Conduct user research to understand the specific needs of different user groups.
   • Lead usability testing sessions, gather feedback, and refine designs to improve user satisfaction.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Work closely with product management, engineering, and DevOps teams to align design strategies with technical feasibility.
   • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the user interface effectively communicates data migration progress.
4. Design Systems:
   • Develop and maintain a consistent design system that adheres to brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
   • Ensure consistency in design patterns across different modules and tools.
5. Documentation and Communication:
   • Document design decisions, user personas, and user journey maps to support development and stakeholder communication.
   • Present design concepts and updates to stakeholders, gathering and incorporating feedback.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging design tools, and best practices.
   • Suggest improvements to existing design processes and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in interaction design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Knowledge of user research and testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with data-intensive applications and cloud migration tools.
• Understanding of design systems and accessibility standards.
• Basic knowledge of Front End web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
